Stone Mountain has been a fixture of Atlanta tourism for over thirty years.  It’s a large granite rock that has one large confederate carving in front, done in part with money by the Ku Klux Klan. Stone Mountain park has taken on a life of its own, with local and international travelers converging on its troublesome legacy.
